Meet Marcia R. Harvey — a passionate and dedicated athlete on the U.S. Women’s National Blind Cricket Team. Originally from the vibrant islands of Trinidad & Tobago, Marcia grew up playing cricket in her school and neighborhood, and now brings that lifelong love for the game to the international stage. She proudly dedicates this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to the memory of her father, George M. Harvey — a beloved journalist and sports enthusiast who instilled in her a deep love for competition and excellence. Diagnosed with Stargardt’s Disease more than 20 years ago, Marcia has never let vision loss limit her ambition. Whether through her work with the National Federation of the Blind or her fearless commitment on the pitch, she continues to face every challenge head-on. With boundless energy and heart, Marcia proves there are no limits to what she can achieve — in cricket and beyond.
