
Meet Shannon – a spirited adventurer and proud member of the U.S. Women’s Blind Cricket Team. Born in New Jersey and raised in Delaware, with a brief stay in Virginia, Shannon has been blind since surviving cancer at birth. Her resilience and zest for life shine through everything she does. An avid traveler and thrill-seeker, Shannon has never let blindness limit her. From skydiving to exploring new places, she embraces every challenge with courage and enthusiasm. A passionate reader and lifelong learner, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Education. Shannon is also a dedicated advocate for accessibility and disability rights. She’s actively involved with the National Federation of the Blind and the National Association of Guide Dog Users, proudly handling her guide dog as both partner and companion on her many adventures. Though new to the sport of cricket, Shannon has thrown herself into the game with the same passion she brings to everything else. As a member of the national blind cricket team, she’s embracing the learning curve, the camaraderie, and the thrill of competition. With every swing of the bat and every step onto the field, Shannon proves that adventure has no limits—and neither does she.
